On Wednesday March 27th, writer, filmmaker, and co-founder of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop Curtis Chin will be joining us at 6:30 to discuss his award-winning new memoir, "Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant."
On Sunday, March 24th, local author Dr. Carlotta Penn will be joining us in the store to read her new picture book, "Step by Step: How the Lincoln School Marchers Blazed a Trail to Justice," co-written by NYT bestselling author Debbie Rigaud. The book tells the true story of the courageous Black mothers and children in Hillsboro, OH who marched for two years to demand equal education. Told from the perspective of a real-life child marcher, Joyce Clemons. Bring your kids or just come on your own to learn about this important and little-known piece of Ohio history!
